The Origin

The Finca Betania coffee from Murmuration Coffee Roasters originates from the Huila region of Colombia.

The Huila region is always a favourite when it comes to Colombian raw coffee beans.

In addition to high-quality – often award-winning – coffee, Huila is also celebrated for its distinct cup profiles that feature bright acidity, sweetness, and fragrant aroma.

The Ospina family have been farming in the Palestina municipality of Huila, Colombia for three generations.

Linocaro, the youngest and perhaps most dynamic of the Ospina coffee farmers, owns a small coffee farm that he inherited from his grandparents, where he grows Caturra, Tabi, Pink Bourbon, Geisha and other varieties.

Linocaro brings experimentation to the forefront of coffee in Huila which has resulted in him placing in the Cup of Excellence competition numerous times - 18th in 2022, 13th in 2021, 24th in 2020, 2nd in 2019, and 13th in 2018.

This lot, an Anaerobic Natural SL28, showcases Lincaro’s innovation and attention to detail with the process.
